Baby Congratulations

Congratulations go to Mr Winson and his wife, who gave birth to a lovely baby daughter on Thursday morning. We all wish baby Charlotte and her mum and dad well.

KS1 Bookfair Competition Results

At the end of the Spring Term F/KS1 held a very succesful Book Fair. As a result, over £400 was raised to spend on books and other resources. So thank you to all parents who helped to run the fair and to the families who came along to buy.

Sport Relief

Sport Relief was a great success at school this year. The children paid to come to school wearing sports gear. They raised over £500 pounds and had a great time in the process.

Welcome to Mr Winson

We are pleased to welcome our new Assistant Head, Mr Winson, to Dore Primary School. He will be teaching Year 6. Mr Winson was previously a teacher at Nether Green School.

We hope he will enjoy teaching in our school.

Table Tennis news

Well done to all those who took part in the Table Tennis competition at the English Institute of Sport. You were a credit to the school and yourselves. The Boys' A and B squads as well as the Girls' A squad are through to the next round in Bradford in January. This is an excellent result and means the school has retained the title of South Yorkshire Champions for the 7th year in a row. Thanks Shaun and Ken for being such great coaches! Also a huge thank you to all the parents who gave lifts and supported the team on Monday - without parents like you my job would be much harder!! Mrs Granville
