2007 Colossal Copper Challenge

For our Harvest collection this year we continued to support our Romanian Orphanage as well as making a donation to 'Water Aid'.
We did this by collecting as many copper coins as we could. Each class then went out onto the school yard to lay out their coins on the ground.
The challenge was to make the longest 'river' of coins we could.

Everyone really enjoyed the challenge and very quickly the 'rivers' grew longer and longer.

All the classes were in competition with each other to see which clas could make the longest river.

Y3L/D were the eventual winners, winning a bag of chocolates to share.

Everyone really enjoyed being out in the warm autumn sunshine. It made the 'rivers' sparkle and shine.
