Art & Music in School

At Dore Primary School we pride ourselves on our rich and varied musical activities.
Children are given many opportunities to become involved in the musical life of the school. These include -

a school choir
the orchestra
peripatetic teachers to teach most orchestral instruments e.g percussion, brass, keyboards, guitar, violin, clarinet, flute and recorder.

We regularly have live music concerts, these include, Sheffield Music Services' - 'Jazz Quartet' and 'Caribbean Band'.

Our orchestra regularly takes part in the Gleadless Music Festival.

We regularly hold our own art exhibition where every child in the school has a piece of their art work framed and displayed.
Parents are invitied to come and look at the exhibition, and if they like what they see they can buy their child's work.
