Reception Activities

Reception is where the adventure starts!
Many learning experiences are presented through playing, talking and practical situations. Children do literacy and numeracy daily, as well as art and craft activities. Each term we have a different topic.

Reception is a very social time, when we learn a lot about making friends. Every morning we share snack time together which gives everyone time to chat to established friends and make new ones.

We are all very excited about our outside play area. This is a safe, enclosed area for Reception. Every morning we take turns to go outside in groups to play or investigate. At the moment digging with the new garden tools is very popular.

In reception we offer a wide range of experiences and opportunities for children to begin, extend and consolidate their learning in a welcoming, secure and stimulating environment.
