Red Nose Day 2007

Preparation for today began two weeks ago with the arrival of our Red Noses.
We quickly put them on sale throughout school and by the start of this week we had already raised over £400.

In total (including the money raised for red noses), we raised a brilliant £1345!!

During this week there were children selling raffle tickets to win a giant bar of chocolate, and quiz sheets to win a cuddly dog.

Our school council talked to KS2 in assembly to remind everyone that they could come in fancy dress, or just wear something red. Of course children were expected to pay for the priviledge!

This morning the air in school was electric as children arrived at school in their costumes, carrying everything they need for their fundraising stalls.

We were inundated with lovely tasty buns for the cake and bun stall. Thanks to everyone who baked last night, or bought buns for us to sell - they were all lovely!

By 10.15 am the hall was set ready for our usual extravaganza of pupil run stalls.

Excitedly running into the hall, the children were spoilt for choice as to which activity to do first.
Money changed hands quickly on the cake and bun stall and the teachers running it could hardly keep up with demand.

As a school we would like to thank all parents who supported their children in preparing for today's fundraising.

We really appreciate your efforts as will all those children in Africa who will benefit from your efforts.
