Sporting Achievement and Activities

 

 

School Swimming Team
We are very proud of our swimming team this year. They are currently the Sheffield Schools' champions.
The team successfully beat of all other competition at Ponds Forge Swimming Pool in the Sheffield School's Swimming Gala. In the past four years we have steadily progressed up through division A from fourth place in 2002, third in 2003, second last year and now first. Our main competitors have always been Stocksbridge Primary School and they put up strong competition again this year.
It really was a very exciting evening and our supporters were hoarse with shouting and encouraging the team on. A fantastic achievement for the school!!

Kwick Cricket Team
We are also very pleased with the achievement of our Kwik Cricket team who recently won the Sheffield final and are now going to York where they will play in the Yorkshire final. Good luck everyone.

KING ECGBERT SCHOOL SPORTS FESTIVAL
More information about this very successful event can be found in the Y6 section of the website.
Sports included were football, badminton, hockey and basketball.
All our Y6 pupils were invited to atted along with pupils from Lowfields and Totley schools.
The activities were led by upper schools pupils from King Ecgberts.
